Dental Care Advice

*As soon as the first teeth appear, a damp cloth can be used to wipe off the sticky substance (plaque) that accumulates on teeth.

*As the child gets older, toothbrushes and age appropriate toothpastes can be used.

*Brushing needs to be done TWICE a day. In the morning and the last thing before going to bed.

*Kids can start coming to see the dentist as soon as the first tooth appears. They can accompany their parents or siblings in the beginning to get familiarized.

*It is not advisable to take your child to the dentist ONLY if there is a problem. Visit the dentist regularly for check ups.

*MOUTH GUARDS are a must for kids playing sport.

*Diet

Avoid sticky sugars (fizzers, toffees) or anything that keeps the mouth sweet for extended periods (lollipops etc.).
