emergency tips
Toothache
Try and get the child to rinse well with warm water. Dislodge any food stuck on or between the teeth with floss. Cold Compress for the swelling. PLEASE DO NOT PUT ANY ASPRIN/ DISPRIN ON THE GUM, this will make the problem worse by burning the gum. See your dentist ASAP.
Chipped or broken tooth
Retrieve the pieces, wash the mouth well and hold a cold, damp cotton wool wad against the bleedy spots.
Primary tooth gets knocked out
Please do not try and re-implant it! Make an appointment as soon as possible. Some Calpol can be given for pain relief
Permanent tooth gets knocked out
Retrieve tooth hold it by the part that is in the mouth (not by the root). Do not scrub the tooth. Try and re-implant. If that is not possible, put it in milk or water WITH a pinch of salt. The tooth has the highest chance of survival if implanted within an hour. So, see the dentist ASAP.

My grandson,Phillip saw dr. Meena today....or actually " didn't" see her. He had his 18 month inoculations two days ago and wasn't himself. He fell asleep on the way to his dentist appointment. My daughter decided to leave him be, and ran in to speak to dr while I sat in the car with Phillip. The next thing....out comes this wonderful woman and dentist and gave him a check-up in the car while he slept on. Where do you get such caring and service nowadays. I think dr.Meena is absolutely AMAZING!!!

I would recommend this wonderfull dentist to any parent who needs a good dentist for their kids. It was my 4 year old son's first visit to a dentist and Dr Meena was amazing!!!! I was so afraid that my son will not let the doctor do the examination but after she spoke to him nicely she was able to do the full examination with him being so calm and me being so relaxed to see him being so calm. All the staff are so friendly and all the kiddies love it there cause they can play all around while waiting there turn for the doctor. My son loves the dinosaur chair.
